It all started with a piece of densely wooded property in Friendswood, Texas. We moved to almost 7 acres of land with just enough of it cleared to build our home. Our property was often wet and mosquito-ridden. We joked that night fell on our property before the rest of Friendswood with our trees blocking the sunshine. With just an ax and a chainsaw, we began to clear a limb or tree here and there.
Having an agricultural degree from Texas A&M University offered enough knowledge to understand the different types of trees and their needed maintenance. As we cleared our land, we saw that the beautiful oak trees started to thrive once we removed the underbrush and smaller invasive species of trees. We spread sand to level the land and with the additional sunlight, our property held less water and our grass grew thicker than ever.
After 5 years, we made the brave decision to clear an entire acre of land. The rich soil that was turned up after the tree removal quickly grew grass and wild flowers turning into a beautiful prairie bringing a breeze through our property for the first time. We were hooked seeing the difference that our hard work and care made to our beautiful land. 10 years later we started ADCO Forestry to allow us to dedicate our time to making land beautiful for our community.
We still have our ax and chainsaws, but have added a few much larger pieces of equipment. We’re fully insured and are ready to meet with you to discuss your end goals for your land. Let us work with you to determine the best process to complete your project.
